The Trip

Ever just wanted to run away to the mountains? It’s your time to let us look after you, on a weekend of walking, talking and feeling happy and content. We will cook for you, look after you and give you some much needed fresh air and some fun, somewhere you can relax and be taken care of. Put yourself first and escape for a weekend away! Two days of walking, motivating sessions, nutrition seminar and stretch, yoga/ pilates sessions. Come run away with us, before the festive season takes hold!

December and January are busy months, no matter how organised you think you are, something always comes up, and this can leave you neglecting the most important thing, your health and wellness. Forget everything that needs doing, just for one weekend and focus on you. Re-set your mind and body and return home feeling inspired, rejuvenated and ready to be the very best you can be.

Join a welcoming and encouraging group where you will feel comfortable and safe exploring everything this location has to offer.  We will include two big day walks where you get to experience packless hiking, provide and prepare all your home cooked nutritious food and include comfortable accommodation on Friday and Saturday night. This weekend is the perfect opportunity to kick-start a summer of health and wellness with a motivation and how to prevent injury workshop, nutrition seminar, stretch and relaxation sessions.

Schedule at a glance

Day 1 -  Arrive at accommodation in time for a delicious home-cooked and healthy dinner. Get to know everyone through some fun games and end the night with a motivation session to inspire you for the weekend ahead.  

Day 2 - Get up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast before we set off on the first day walk. Carry lunch for a rewarding, challenging, yet achievable walk that will leave you feeling proud of your achievements. It’s then back to the accommodation for some down time before a nutrition seminar and another yummy dinner. Finish the day with an injury prevention seminar and some meditation to help you unwind.

Day 3 - Wake up with a stretch and mobilisation session before setting off on a gentler yet just as rewarding walk. Returning to the accommodation, wrap up with a final motivation workshop that will leave you inspired and ready to take on a summer of fitness and a new year of health and wellness.

Grading - moderate

Participants should expect around 6-8 hours walking each day. The treks will very in conditions depending on the weather.  The distances are not great however this almost irrelevant as the time and effort required is equivalent to much longer treks. Strength and agility will be important and as with any of our tours the fitter you are for the activity, the more your attention moves from looking at your feet to experiencing your surrounds. Train for uneven terrain by finding a rough narrow bush track, even just your local park or sports field, and go for a lovely long walks in your trekking boots / walking shoes.

Dietary Requirements

Provided we are advised in advance of your departure we are able to cater for vegetarian diets and can assist with medically recommended diets (allergies and intolerances). Please ensure you discuss your requirements with us well in advance
