The Flinders Ranges is a truly spectacular area, with rugged gorges, valleys and mountains. Is it on your bucket list? well it should be! This magnificent area has been uplifted and eroded over millions of years and is a hikers, adventurers, and explorers delight. Come explore and unwind with us, let us guide and support you with an encouraging group of like minded people and be amazed at the awe inspiring scenery. Over four days you will discover hidden walks, gaze at sunrises and enjoy a glass of wine while re-capping the adventures and highlights of your day. We will provide and prepare all your healthy snacks, lunches and dinners, allowing you time to unwind. We will be staying on one of the original stations just on the southern outskirts and at the base of one of our peak walks - Rawnsley park. The accommodation will be in single bed accommodation. Our chauffeured bus will pick you up and return you to Adelaide airport, and you will stay in a secluded and quiet accommodation. Schedule at a glance
Day 1 - Pick up from Adelaide airport at 9am, head to Mt Remarkable National Park and walk Alligator Gorge, then moving north to Flinders Ranges and walk Rawsley Bluff in the afternoon. Check into accommodation at Rawnsley Park. Enjoy home cooked healthy dinner and watch the sunset.
Day 2 - Short fun game, before heading to Wilpena Pound for Mt Olssen Bagge summit walk, (then enjoy a cold ice-cream). Lunch is followed by a short drive to a more relaxing Aboriginal cultural walk then a dip in the pool and a yoga session.
Day 3 - This is an early start so we can tackle the awesomely spectacular St. Marys Peak. This incredible walk has a half way option or the full monty for those with the energy. Our goal here is to be part way up for the sunrise and to really enjoy the amazing geology and geomorphology. After another ice-cream, there is a bike tour of Rawnsley Park or a relaxing evening and early bed.
Day 4 - Early pack up today as we head back down to Adelaide via the inspiring 360 degree artwork in Hawker, followed by some exploration of early settler homestead ruins and either another ice-cream at the longest pier in the Southern Hemisphere or a last short gorge walk. We will have you back at Adelaide airport by 4pm.

Grading - moderate
Participants should expect around 6-8 hours walking each day. The treks will very in conditions. There will be soft sand, sharp and uneven rock, scrambling over up to the peaks etc. The distances are not great however this almost irrelevant as the time and effort required is equivalent to much longer treks. Strength and agility will be important and as with any of our tours the fitter you are for the activity, the more the attention moves from looking at your feet to experiencing your surrounds. Train for uneven terrain by finding a rough narrow bush track, even just your local park or sports field, and go for a lovely long walk in your trekking boots.
Provided we are advised in advance of your departure we are able to cater for vegetarian diets and can assist with medically recommended diets (allergies and intolerances). Please ensure you discuss your requirements with us well in advance
