Only 40 minutes from Melbourne CBD, this walk leads around the delightful Plently Valley Park-lands and over to the unique Quarry Hills and Granite Hills where we can explore and learn about the constant battle between man and nature on the peri-urban fringes of Melbourne.
Located on the traditional land of the Wurundjeri people, this area provided numerous flow and fauna species that were used for food, medicines, the manufacture of many important cultural items, the construction of temporary shelters, and a permanent source of fresh water. Scarred trees and stone artifact scatters are evidence of the Wurundjeri peoples' use of the area prior to European settlement.
