This is a great forest walk with views that will make you feel accomplished, break up the everyday routine and come on this walk to give you a sense of achievement in a social and encouraging group where everyone is made to feel welcome. Whether you come on your own, with a friend or partner or your a regular walker with us. We will guide, support and feed you along the way.
Marysville was devastated in the Black Saturday bushfires and we are now taking our coffee money to this recovering town. Enjoy a stunning walk as it climbs straight from town, following the river before starting our ascent to the well known Victorian waterfall, Stevensons Falls, which will be pumping at this time of year. Leaving the falls we start our true ascent up rougher tracks and huff and puff our way to some spectacular views over the town, the valleys and ranges beyond. These great views provide a delightful backdrop for our delicious lunch and warm drink before you tune up your quad muscles for the descent. Use this time to remember the severity of the bushfires through this area and marvel at the forest’s ability to regenerate. Finish the walk and use the afternoon to wander town.
The meeting location is a small carpark at the lower end of town on the right hand side.
A comprehensive gear list is provided to participants prior to the trip.
Please do not book flights until you get confirmation that the tour is proceeding.
