Come and join us on this 10km exploration of tracks and trails right on your doorstep. This beginner bushwalk will immerse you in a natural, cultural and social experience and of course – our famous healthy nutritious food!

Enjoy hot soup and a bread roll for lunch and a delicious hot chocolate and a piece of cake to warm your insides.

Only 40 minutes from Melbourne CBD, this bushwalk leads around the delightful Birdlands Reserve and over the unique granite hilltops where we can view the surrounding areas of Melbourne.

Located within the traditional land of the Wurundjeri people, this area provided numerous flora and fauna species that were used for food, medicines, the manufacture of many important cultural items, the construction of temporary shelters, and a permanent source of fresh water. Scarred trees and stone artifact scatters are evidence of the Wurundjeri peoples’ use of the area prior to European settlement.

This is a Grade 2 bushwalk, and suitable for beginners and close to Melbourne.

Refunds will not be offered if you cancel less than 30 days out from the scheduled event. Under some circumstances, a partial or full credit may be offered.

What to Expect

This walk is for everyone, especially those new to hiking, or maybe you just haven’t done it for a while. We will walk with you and guide you along the trails, but you can also relax knowing that we’ve assisted you with preparation, food, plus providing lots of support to give you peace of mind. So if you have wanted to get into the outdoors, improve your fitness, have a social excursion, or need to re-vitalise your life – then book in now and remember what it’s like to get back to basics.

What to Bring
  • Large drink bottle, or two normal drink bottles on a hot day.
  • A small backpack
  • Medication, camera etc
  • Hat, or beanie
  • Sturdy walking boots or trail shoes or runners.
  • Walking clothes, we generally recommend shorts or light pants with layers for your upper body.
