Join our very first afternoon walk..
Yep, we wanted to put on a beach walk, and because we don’t want to swim along the shore at high tide – we’re going in the afternoon. So come along and have a day out with us, maybe grab a nice coffee on the way down, enjoy the views and then some exercise along with a wonderful coastal walk. We start from a small carpark on the side of the Great Ocean Road, and wander through the coastal heathland for a while with overarching views of the ocean from a number of vantage points. Our lighthouse destination deserves a bit of exploring before heading down a steep escarpment to the foreshore and making our way back along the beach.
The return walk is anything but dull, with the cliffs on one side and the ocean on the other, we make our way along stunning beaches and amazing rock platforms, picking our way along through as best we can without stepping in one of those shallow puddles! Marine creatures and seashells galore will have you snapping photos throughout the day.
As usual, TSA will provide all your food with a delicious afternoon tea, snacks and slices to ensure your walk is completely satisfying. Plus our wonderful company and support along the way.
This walk is generally flat, there are a few short sections of steep steps and rock walking.
It’s a Grade 3, and about 14km depending on how much you wander back and forth across the beach.
Urquhart Bluff Carpark, 6km past the Anglesea River.
