The walk is a gentle climb to the peak, where we will stop to enjoy an indulgent, but delicious bite to eat, with the backdrop of Melbourne’s skyline.

As we navigate back down surrounded by the distinctive granite peaks of the You Yangs, you will be greeted with views of the volcanic plains between Melbourne and Geelong that make up this unique part of Victoria.

Getting there: You Yangs Regional Park is 55km southwest of the Melbourne CBD, taking around an hour to get there by car. Anyone from Geelong can expect to get to the You Yangs within half an hour.

Access to the park from the Princess Freeway is clearly signposted via Lara.
