The Tin Mine Cove and Five Mile Beach circuit is a stunning 3-day hike located in the Wilsons Promontory National Park in Australia. With its rugged coastline, dense forests, swamps and long stretches of hills, this hike is perfect for those looking for a challenging and rewarding experience.

The hike begins at the Five Mile Road and after short section of road, we hit thick coastal scrub and begin to descend to the flat swampland and tea-tree plains of the Prom. Our team will hit some wet areas which could be anywhere from ankle to waist deep as we carefully navigate our way across the land towards Chinamans Beach, and onto our first camp at Tin Mine Cove. This is one of the hardest days on our event calendar and it will be an experience like no other.

Day two involves a crossing of the peninsula to the eastern shore of the Prom, and then a long flat easy walking section along Three Mile Beach The trail then leads around the rocky shoreline before up and over a few hills to the river crossing and camp at Five Mile Beach.

Our last day involves a more relaxing journey along Five Mile road which can be exposed to the elements and includes a number of short climbs, but offers some rewarding panoramas of the Promontory and beyond.  Throughout the hike, you will encounter a variety of wildlife, beaches, swamps, and some of the most stunning coastline in Victoria.

All this is topped off by a delicious healthy lunch, dinner and snacks, and a fun, social group atmosphere. Our guides will carry the extra equipment, and prepare dinner at the end of the day, making it easy for you to relax and enjoy yourself!
