Overview
This is a great hiking day out! Get ready for a few scrambling sections to get the adrenaline pumping and lots of hills as you scale the razorback whilst taking in some amazing views.
After a long steady uphill start, the track turns into a sensational walk up the side of the ranges to Mount Sugarloaf involving some exposed climbing and very steep ascents. You then carefully make your way along the challenging and rewarding razorback. This very technical track has a few tricky sections where we will be there to lend a hand, plus consistent technical walking. After a hearty lunch accompanied by sitting back and taking in the magnificent scenery, we start the descent back to river level before the flat walk back to the start. You’ll feel inspired and proud of your achievements after this exhilarating day out.
This is a Grade 5 walk due to the technical terrain, not the distance. If you love rocky scrambling walks, this is your kind of day out. This is also a perfect hike to test your fitness or build endurance if you’re training for another adventure.
