Overview
You’ll get to experience the beautiful Red Hill; we combine the best of both local bushland tracks and trails with local distilleries and producers to give you a unique outdoor adventure! A beginner friendly hike with a decent hill heading back to our lunch spot, but the gin will get you fired up for this ;) All dietaries catered for, we just need to know in advance please.
We all meet at the Nordie Cafe at 9am (if you want to grab a quick cuppa or coffee before the hike). A quick briefing before setting off on our morning walk through the back of Red Hill enjoying the fresh morning air. After 1.5hrs / 2 hrs we will reach the wonderful Bass and Flinders Distillery for a flight of Gin tastings and some yummy local cheeses. The staff are on hand to talk you through the tasting and answer any GINuine gin questions ;)
We’ll then head along some wide road reserves and into the bush again for some pleasant walking which takes us through the forest (an uphill walk here to get us warmed up and the legs pumping). We’re now on our way towards our lunch spot at Nordie cafe for some toasties and hot chips before we head to Mock Red Hill to sit and enjoy athe famous apple pie (yum) with scrumptious cider tastings to make sure you’re well fed and watered!
Our guide will leave you here to enjoy the afternoon, and at your own pace you can stroll the simple 1km back along to your vehicle. A perfect day of fitness, making new friends, great conversation and yummy Red Hill produce. Can’t think of a better way to spend the day.
This event works really well as a corporate or private group event for a social, fun day out to connect with work colleagues or a group of friends.
