Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival and Onkaparinga Exploration (9km easy)

Your journey begins with a warm welcome and pickup from Adelaide airport. As we drive south of Adelaide we dive into the heart of Fleurieu Peninsula with a rejuvenating Onkaparinga short walk. This delightful 9 km journey meanders through the enchanting Sundew Ridge Hike and Nature Loops, offering a gentle introduction to the region's beauty. As the day unfolds, savor the rich flavors at d’Arenberg Winery, where a visit and tasting await, providing a perfect initiation into Fleurieu's renowned winemaking heritage.

Day 2 Deep Creek Hiking and Coastal Bliss (4km mod, 4km easy))

We have selected a short in and out Waterfall walk to invigorate you, situated in the Deep Creek National Park on the southern tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula, followed by another short flatter Goondooloo Ridge walk. These two short hikes traverse the rugged landscapes, so you can immerse yourself in nature's grandeur, and enjoy views of South Australia's southern coastline. A notorious sea channel separating Kangaroo island from the mainland. We’ll find some time to explore Victor Harbour, relax on the beach or just enjoy some cheese and biscuits back at our accommodation.

Day 3 Newland Head Hike (12km)

Embark on a 12km moderate hike along Newland Head, an exploration of diverse terrains and breathtaking vistas. As the day transitions to afternoon, experience more of the region's wineries, or walk the long beaches of the Coorong to watch the sunset on the way to or from visit the famous bakery in Port Elliot, where you can buy an optional sweet treat and grab a coffee.

Day 4 Granite Island, McLaren Vale Winery Walk (8km easy)

Begin your final day with the scenic beauty of Granite Island, setting the stage for a memorable morning. Then, venture into the renowned McLaren Vale for a 7km winery walk, immersing yourself in the vineyard landscapes. A stop for a later lunch at another winery, adding another delight to your journey. Conclude your Fleurieu adventure with a perfect blend of nature, exploration, and exquisite tastes. We’ll then say goodbye and drop you back at the Airport or into Adelaide.

  • Walking clothes suitable for the weather on the day
  • Swimwear for the Spa at the accommodation

Food

The food will be provided by our very own adventure staff who will prepare and cook your delicious and nutritious dinner, lunches, all snacks and breakfast. We love our food so be prepared to have freshly ground coffee, delicious snacks and fresh fruit, beautiful vegetable based salads, wraps and cheeses. All this food is energy- filled to sustain you on the track – oh! and lets not forget a sneaky desert.
