Candlebark Bush Loop – Short and Social Hike

Join us for a hike followed by a stop at a local cafe for a drink and some food and chance to chat. (food and drink are optional at your own expense). These are a great way to carve out a little more time for social connection. This short walk is accessible via public transport from Eltham Station and is a great triple loop on easier, mostly flat paths. A small hill in the middle of the walk will test your legs, but this is generally a social morning out. We love to listen to birds, look for kangaroos, and enjoy our time outdoors. Enjoy a snack in the parklands and chat with our wonderful guides.

Do you want to add more hiking to your weekend and enjoy a healthier and fitter lifestyle? Our short walks are your best opportunity when you don’t have a whole day to spare, and we’ll have some morning snacks available to keep you going. It’s a great way to start your day, have a little exploration, and meet new people.

Our short hikes are usually around or less than 10km and graded 2, 3, or 4. At the easier end of the scale is a Grade 2 hike, perfect for beginners and those just wanting an active social outing. They are a great way to gain confidence, meet like minded people and start a journey of hiking. Our Grade 4 hikes have a few more hills and go at a quicker pace. Grade 3s are right in the middle!
