Managing Through Menopause: a practical briefing for team leaders
A leadership briefing on menopause, capacity and retention
Wednesday 16 September 2026, 12:30pm AEST, 45 minutes
Google Meet (link sent with your confirmation). Free. Registration required.
In 45 minutes you will leave knowing:
- What menopause actually does to capacity at work: cognition, sleep, confidence, stamina, and why it rarely shows up as "menopause" on the surface
- Why your most experienced women are the most likely to hide it, and what that silence is costing you in retention, succession and performance
- The three conversations a manager can have that keep a senior woman in the room, and the one that pushes her out
- What your obligations are under Victorian psychosocial hazard regulations, and where this sits in them
- Actionable things you can start tomorrow to support your team
Who this is for
Senior leaders, team leaders, people managers and HR and People leaders responsible for retaining experienced talent regardless of your gender. You do not need to know anything about menopause to attend.
This is a briefing, not a wellness session. You will get evidence, risks, recommendations and actions. Bring your questions.
Your briefers
Tracey Wright went through menopause in her late thirties, more than a decade before anyone was talking about it publicly, while working as a nutritionist and health coach and building a business. She has spent over ten years running talks on this subject, and now leads Impact Adventures, working with senior teams on leadership capacity. She brings the lived experience of leading through it, and of being badly led through it.
Dr Karina Severin of Jean Hailes for Women's Health brings the clinical evidence: what the research says, what it does not, and what leaders get wrong when they rely on assumption instead of data.
