Pyrite Ranges – Short Hike

This short hike is a perfect morning out. It’s not too far from Melbourne and encompasses some of the rugged tracks of the lesser known Pyrite Ranges. This walk, although not far beyond the outskirts of Melbourne’s northern suburbs, offers a range of tracks, from the initial 4km s of inclines with sweeping views and a little cardio up to the summit of yet another Mt Sugarloaf, followed by winding and descending single track. This short hike ticks the boxes, so make sure you add it to your adventure list.
Our short hikes are usually around 10km and graded 2-5 with 2 being at the easier end of the scale and perfect for beginners and those just wanting a social stroll. They are a great way to gain confidence, meet like minded people and start a journey of hiking. Our 4-5 hikes will have a few more undulations and a quicker pace, and suitable for those with good fitness and there is always the chance of an extra TSA ‘let’s go this way’ element.
The best part about our short hikes is when you become a TSA member you get one of these hikes FREE every month! Check out our MEMBERSHIP page, and get motivated, add accountability and improve mind and body with some adventure time in nature.
